Liability for weblink
WWF Switzerland hereby expressly declares that at the time the weblinks were created, no illegal content was discernible on the linked pages. WWF Switzerland has no influence on the current and future design, content or authorship of the linked pages. Therefore, WWF Switzerland hereby expressly distances itself from all contents of all linked pages that were changed after the link was created. This statement applies to all links and references within its own website. Liability for illegal, incorrect or incomplete content and in particular for damages arising from the use or non-use of such information lies solely with the provider of the site to which reference is made and not with the party who merely refers to the respective publication via links.
Secure data transfer
Personal data that users provide to us via the website forms are transmitted to us via a secure connection in encrypted form. The security procedure used (SSL-Secure Sockets Layer) corresponds to the usual state of the art.
All employees of WWF Switzerland, One Planet Lab who handle user data are obliged to comply with data protection. Access to the system is via an authorisation procedure. SSL encryption (recognisable by https:// in the address line of the browser) is a protocol for encrypting data during transmission from the web server to the browser. This transmission offers a particularly high level of security. During transmission, personal data between the user's computer and our SSL server is encrypted using an SSL protocol.
Cookies, tracking and other technologies related to the use of our website
We typically use cookies and similar technologies on our websites to identify the user's browser or device. A cookie is a small file that is sent to or automatically stored on the computer or mobile device by the web browser used when a user visits our website. When a user visits this website again, we recognise him or her in this way, even if we do not know who he or she is. In addition to cookies that are only used during a session and deleted after the website visit (session cookies), cookies can also be used to store user settings and other information for a certain period of time (e.g. two years) (permanent cookies).
However, a user can set their browser to reject cookies, store them for one session only or otherwise delete them prematurely. Most browsers are preset to accept cookies. We use persistent cookies to help us better understand how users use our services and content. If a customer blocks cookies, certain functionalities (such as voice dialing) may no longer work.
General information on data processing
The protection of customer data is important to us. We respect privacy and are committed to processing customer data in accordance with applicable laws, regardless of whether a customer has provided us with data electronically, by post or by telephone. As a matter of principle, we only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services that a prospective customer, customer, donor, e-newsletter subscriber or competition entrant would like us to provide.
In any case, personal data is only processed within the framework of legal regulations. WWF Switzerland is subject to Swiss law. This also applies with regard to data protection. Our offer is directed exclusively at persons in Switzerland, which is why EU laws, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation, are not applicable.
A more detailed and updated version of the data protection regulations can be found on the WWF Switzerland website: https://www.wwf.ch/de/ueber-uns/datenschutzerklaerung
Data transfer abroad by Wix
The processing of user customer data at Wix takes place in the territory of the European Union, in Israel or in another third country. This can also be a third country which does not guarantee an adequate level of data protection. In such a case, an adequate level of data protection is ensured by Wix through appropriate technical and organisational measures as well as through the conclusion of a contract based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
